I started Liftoff Communications in partnership with Carolyn Adams [former VP of Highwire PR] in 2002 after working at numerous international PR firms including Fleishman-Hillard, GCI Group, Schwartz Communications – and many more.

I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, a place where the rugged wilderness instilled in me the values of hard work and perseverance and exemplify my work ethic. I embrace challenges, persevere through adversity, and am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and dive into the trenches. Just as the breathtaking Alaska Mountain Range greeted me each morning, I approach every endeavor with a sense of wonder, determination, and an unyielding commitment to charting a course towards success – your success.

I wanted Liftoff to be different. I wanted clients to work with me and my team, all senior, and for us to have a hand in their success.  I’m not in the business to scale the firm to a global level or bring on a junior person to run your account. Your business is too important to me. Past and current clients have told me that our work has resulted in an acquisition, IPO, new hires and a flurry of new investors. As of today, most of our clients come from referrals which is a true testament to our great work. Liftoff has worked with some of the biggest names in the business such as Visa, AT&T, Nokia and Cisco and many earlier stage companies so my knowledge and connections are with some of the biggest brands and many of the early stage companies backed by prominent venture capital firms.

Your business is important to me and each client I work with is vastly different. So when we work together, I always try to imagine myself in your shoes. For example, I’ve gone above and beyond by brokering customer partnership introductions, negotiated sponsorship discounts, recruited new hires, and connected clients to future Venture Capital partners. The clients that we have the most success with view us as a true partner versus a vendor and share our enthusiasm in the successes and big wins every step of the way.
